A book about the poetry of salt. The book documents Salarium: Ruth’s salt carvings from 2014-2026, a series that make manifest the Zechstein Sea, a 250million year old sea that is now a seam of salt under the countries of Northern Europe.

The book features text and images from the 2025 film The Sea Inside Us by Ruth E Lyons and Colm Hogan alongside essays by poet Julie Morrissy and former president of EUsalt, Urs Hofmeier.
